Hollywood North Extras specializes in booking extras/background performers for the film and television industry in the Vancouver and Lower Mainland area.
We have been in business since 1994 and since that time we have placed thousands of people on productions such as feature films, commercials, tv series, tv movies, Hallmark movies, photo shoots, music videos as well as corporate project. Background performers roles have included many different scenarios such as futuristic sci fi scenes, period pieces spanning different time periods with vintage costumes, battlefields, horror and comedies.
Hollywood North Extras is licensed and bonded and is one of the oldest and most established agencies in the city.

COVID and Movie sets
We are happy to say that the film industry is as busy as ever after a shutdown of a few months in 2020.
Most film and television productions test their cast and crew multiple times a week. Extras are required to do a covid test 1 or 2 times before their work date. This is done by each production you work on typically 1 to 2 days prior to the day you are booked. The test used is the non invasive nose swirl. Covid test calls are paid at a 4 hour call (approx $60). For full union members it is an 8 hour call.
On the movie sets, both in the studio or on location as well as in extras holding there are covid safety practices in place and covid compliance officers in attendance. Typically there is plexiglass between people in holding and distancing in place. Masks are worn and are only removed just before the camera is rolling. It has been a safe return to work.
There are a few smaller productions that do not test prior to going to set however they must follow the same guidelines set out by Worksafe BC and the BC Health Authority for workplace safety. Some clients have chosen not to work on productions that do not test. When we book you we let you know if it is a non test production.

Clients on roster-Update info For our current clients please email us at info@hollywoodnorthextras.com with any new information that we should have. Updating your pictures frequently is always a good idea! Please email new ones to us every few months. (Please refer to our how to apply info for preferred picture type). Please also send us any new information we should have. ( ie new address change in weight new skills etc). Let your friends and family know they are welcome to apply! Some shows like to book people that are in the same bubble. PLEASE FILL OUT YOUR AGENCYCLICK CALENDAR and keep it current. If you need your password sent to you please email us and we will send it to you.
